Bettie Jean Oliver went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2018.  Bettie was born September 7, 1944 to Arthur and Lucille Johnson in Marion, Alabama.  She moved to Canton in 1965 where she was employed by the House of Loretto, then the Hoover Company where she retired after 28 years due to illness.  Bettie was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Elonzo Oliver; father, Arthur "Pete" Johnson, Sr.; mother, Lucille Johnson; brother, Arthur Johnson, Jr. and special cousin, Eunice Green.

Bettie leaves to cherish (2) sons, Michael and Jarvis Oliver; (2) daughters, Nikita and Eunice Oliver all of Canton; (15) grandchildren and (14) great-grandchildren; (1) brother, Eddie W. John of Chicago; (4) sisters, Bessie Johnson, Ann Johnson, Barbara Johnson all of Chicago, Mattie Johnson of Atlanta and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
