Bessie Mae Young was called home by her heavenly father on August 20,2020 in the comfort of her home after an extended illness. Bessie was born on April 22,1946 in Webb, Mississippi. Bessie was a graduate of Washington High School and was member of the Washingtonian choir. After high school, Bessie attended college at Kent State University while working at Doctors Hospital. Later, Bessie transitioned to the Timken Company where she retired after 30 years of service. Bessie enjoyed her family, cooking, watching TV, sewing, and her niece's and nephew's entertainment. Bessie was a tremendous help to her family and friends, If anyone was in need she was always there to help. Bessie was also a good teacher. She tutored students throughout her time and was mostly known for her generosity.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roosevelt & Rutha Mae McCrary. Her two brothers, Special Nephew (Son) Thomas L. Allison, and Nephew Mack C Lathion Jr.
Bessie is survived by her special sister and caregiver Florine McCrary(Raymond), Brothers Robert McCrary(Marezella), Mack Lathion Sr. (Mary/Special Caregiver), Nieces Ronette Moss(Carl), Marinett McCrary-Hunt(Jayson), Robbie McCrary(Tovario), Mariah Campbell (Fred), Special Nephew Darnell (Guy) Lathion(Melliasa),Great nieces Saisha Turpin-Allison, R'ajja Turpin-Allison, Ashley Foster, Amya Pritchett, Inya Ammerman, and a host of extended family members .
Special friends Michael Gamble, Larine Brown and a host of many more.
