Missionary-Mother Bessie Louise Hall-Neal was born July 27, 1939, in Demopolis, Alabama, to the proud parents of Allen Hall Sr. and Rebecca Hall; and departed this life in Durham, NC on December 10, 2024. She was one of 13 siblings and was deeply loved by her family and friends. United in holy matrimony in 1959 to Elder Ollie B Neal, she and her husband shared a beautiful 65-year union filled with love, faith and family values. Her devotion to her husband, family, ministry and her community leaves a lasting legacy that will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know her. Missionary-Mother Bessie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant of GOD. She was ordained as a Mother, Missionary, and Evangelist, dedicating her life to serving GOD and spreading the Gospel. Her work as an evangelist took her to numerous places, cities, and states, where she ministered with compassion and faith. She was the former First Lady of Christ Temple COGIC in Cuthbert, Georgia. She gave her life to the Lord at New Life COGIC in Massillon, Ohio. She was also a faithful member of Cathedral of Faith COGIC, Upper Room COGIC, and Grace COGIC, where her faith and leadership inspired countless individuals. Missionary-Mother Bessie was preceded in death by a son, Shugundo Earl Neal and 11 siblings: five brothers, Allen Hall Jr., Nathaniel Hall (Chaney), Matthew Hall (Dorothy), William Hall (Betty), James Hall (Donna); and six sisters, Susie Armstead (David), Delilah Blasingame (Isaac), Mary Winn (Buchanan), Willette Winn (Nathaniel), Nancy Calhoun (John), Loretta Turner (Raymond). She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Elder Ollie B. Neal, her devoted spouse; three children, Edward B. Neal, Lolita R. Neal, Darryl Neal (Katherine); her sole surviving sibling and beloved sister, Lily Rose Hall, who continues to carry the family legacy; four grandchildren, Shawnya, Dale, D'Arcee, and Shondell; one great-grandchild, McKenzie; and other relatives and friends.
