On Saturday, April 21, 2018 Bernice Brown, made her transition from earth to glory at the age of 93. She was born in Troy, Alabama on February 14, 1925 to her parents, Annie Mae Simmons and Herbert H. Slaton. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as an usher and as a member of the ICLU. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Brown Jr.; mother, Annie Mae Simmons; father, Herbert H. Slaton; and son, Gary M. Brown. Bernice leaves to cherish her loving memory her sons, Simuel Brown and Myron Brown; daughter, Patricia Rudolph; brother, Terrell Slaton and Robert Simmons; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends.
