Berma Kaye Autrey's Obituary

Berma Kaye Autrey was born on October 27, 1970 in Canton, Ohio to Marcia Chenault and James Houston.  She received her heavenly wings on Saturday, November 25, 2023 after a lengthy illness.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Berma was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School where she was a majorette.  She furthered her studies at Youngstown State University.  Berma was an international award-winning baton twirler and later an instructor.  She co-founded Twirlers To Fight Cancer along with her longtime friend, John C. Mitchell.

She was employed at Timken Company before moving to Youngstown.  She was an entrepreneur of several business ventures which included designing jackets and link bracelets.

In addition to her father, Berma was preceded in death by  grandsons, Jaidyn and Houston Autrey; brother, Tony Autrey, 3 aunts, 7 uncles and several cousins.  Berma leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Marcia Chenault Autrey; dad, Arvie Autrey Jr; daughter and caregiver, Cheyenne Autrey; son, Jordan Autrey; grandsons, Phoenix Autrey and Yuri Etheridge; granddaughter, Joslyn McDonald; brothers, Christopher (Jeanetta), Arvie the 3rd known as "Ty", and Jules Autrey; sister, Shelisa (Shaddrick) Stinson, 6 aunts, 1 uncle; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
