Avonte` Lamonte
Williams
October 25, 1981 – January 31, 2024
Avonte' LeMonte Williams, age 42 of Minnesota, peacefully passed away in his home on January 31, 2024. He was born in Canton, Ohio on October 25, 1981, to Bradley Williams and Demetria McClain. He was baptized in Jesus Name at Greater Bethel Apostolic Church and received the Holy Ghost at an early age. Avonte' graduated from Canton South High School, he was a 2-yearlettered athlete while on the basketball team, and he was also on the football and track teams. He participated in community programs and was a Fellowship Christian Athlete Member. He also played basketball while attending Kent State Tuscarawas Branch. Avonte' relocated to Minnesota over 15 years ago to be closer to his father's brother (Uncle George). He was previously employed with Mystic Lake Casino and most recently, Fed Ex. He was the life of the party, always bringing jokes, stories, and that big smile wherever he went. Everyone he met became family to him. He loved spending time with his Minnesota and Ohio family and friends. In 2015 his life changed when his son Siah Ray was born. He adored his son, loved spending time with him and he would move mountains for his only child. Avonte' was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandmother, Anne J. Watkins; maternal grandparents, Hortense Larsuel and James E. McClain; and Uncle, George Williams II. His infectious smile and loving soul will truly be missed. His memory will always be cherished by his loving mother, Demetria Varnadore of Canton, Ohio; son, Siah Ray Williams of Savage, MN; grandfather, George L. Williams I of Massillon, Ohio; grandmother, Orlean McClain of Montgomery, AL; Siblings, MarQus Thomas, Sr, Joshlyn Williams, Sidney Varnadore and Cian Sims, all of Canton, Ohio; six nieces, six nephews; special aunt and caregiver, Sheila Williams of Egan, Minnesota; and uncle Kris McClain. Avonte' also leaves a number of special cousins (too many to name) to whom he had special bonds with and they will forever have those memories in their heart. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends.
