Arthur Stafford, affectionately known as T-Cake went home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2016 at the age of 89. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 13, 1927 to his parents Luke and Annie Stafford. Arthur was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. He worked various construction jobs, loved to play Georgia Skins and was known around town for collecting cans for scrapping.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke Sr. and Annie Stafford;daughters, Arlena Stafford, Maxine Roberts, and Cheryl Stafford, step-mother, Rosetta Stafford; grandson, Ramone Roberts; brother Luke Stafford Jr. "Red" and step-brother, Andrew Burella "Sonny".

He leaves to forever cherish his loving memory wife, Bessie Stafford of Akron; sons, Arthur Stafford Jr. of Detroit, MI; and Roger Stafford of Akron, OH; daughters, Barbara Roberts of Akron, OH, Darlene (Otis) Williams of Akron, OH, LaVonne Roberts of Akron, OH, Gwendolyn (James) Wynn of Detroit, MI, Gwendolyn Roberts of Akron, OH, Irene (Bennie) Roberts and Susan Stafford-Singleton both of Akron, OH; special friends, Zelma Foxx and Herbert Portis; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
