Arthur "BB" Johnson, Jr. walked up the Stairway to Heaven on Father's Day June 21, 2020 at the age of 77. He was born on February 20,1943 in Akron, Ohio to Lillian and Arthur B. Johnson Sr.

"BB" attended Akron Public Schools and joined the Army in 1961. Successfully completing Basic Combat, Airborne and Military Justice. He also was awarded an Expert Badge (Rifle). Obtaining an Honorary Discharge in 1966 and he became a Mason.

"BB" worked for Chrysler, St Thomas Hospital and retired from the Railroad after 30 years of service. He was a professional pool player and an avid bingo player. He loved all sports and was very family oriented.

"BB" is preceded in death by his parents Lillian and Arthur B. Johnson Sr.; grandparents Henry and Mary Brown and William and Julia Zanders; sister Julia Pearl Fields; brothers John, Robert and Willie Lewis; brother-in-law John Turner; two aunts, one uncle, one niece and three nephews.

"BB" leave's to forever cherish his loving memory and to carry on his legacy children Theresa (Kenneth) Taylor, Jackie (Levi) Bailey, Janell (Desmond)Townsend and Nikki Bailey all of Akron, Ohio; sisters Shawn Jackson and Rochelle Lawrence-Turner of Akron, Ohio, E. Marie Brown of Tennessee and Barbara Lawrence of Chicago Ridge, Illinois; brothers O.C. Murphy of Akron Ohio, Billy Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, Tony Johnson of Virginia and Oscar Lawrence of LaGrange, Illinois; grandchildren Shyanne Taylor, Kenneth Taylor III, Shanece (Dontee) Sessoms, Paris Sheila "Shala" Taylor, Dynastee Bailey, Imari and Yanis Childers all of Akron, Ohio; aunt Rosie McElroy of Akron, Ohio; special cousins Lawrence and Leonard Zanders; best friends Lou Karamis and Jimmy Lewis Jr.; Sobriety partner William Razor of 30 + years; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
