Annie Belle Boykin was born in Brooksville, Mississippi in 1936 to Louise Moore and Robert Thomas. She spent her early years with her grandmother Bett Moore. At an early age she joined the Prayer Grove Baptist Church. After moving to Akron she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Later in her teens she moved to Columbus, Mississippi where she lived for 5 years before relocating to Akron, Ohio in 1955. After she moved to Akron, she met and married Isaiah Boykin, better known as Ike. They would have been married 58 years on October 4th of this year. Annie Belle is preceded in death by her parents, Louise Moore and Robert Thomas. She is survived by her loving husband, Isaiah Boykin; daughter, Eliza Belle Burney of Houston, Texas; mother, Marie Thomas; sisters, Gail Thomas of Columbus, Ohio; Robin (Mark) Thrist) of Akron, Ohio; brother, Deforest A. Thomas of Akron, Ohio and   Bobby C. (Ruthie) Young of East St. Louis, Missouri; nieces, Lillie Williams of Chicago, Lesocca Downs of East St. Louis, Missouri and Roneisha Thrist; nephew, Brandon Thrist of Akron, Ohio; great aunt, Fannie Lue Caine of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Georgia Ann Payne of Detroit, Michigan; brothers-in-law, Dewayne (Mary) Boykin of Birmingham, Alabama, George Boykin of Buffalo, New York; Clarence Boykin of Akron, Ohio and Leroy (Fannie) Boykin of Glen Rock, New Jersey and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
