Annie Lois McClain-Mitchell age 88 of Canton, Ohio passed away after an extended illness on Monday, May 17th, 2021 at her daughter's home.

She was born in Shorter, Alabama on March 31st, 1934 to the late Frank Jordan Sr. and  Essie Gorings. She attended McKinley High School and played in the marching band for   2 years. Annie was a member of the Pentecostal Temple Church of God In Christ for many years and was an organ and piano player, she also sang in the choir.

Annie worked as a Press Operator at Danner Press at the age of 13, Earl Schieb at the age of 16, Republic Steel, she was the manager at the Baby Grand, Founder of Welfare Rights, and had many others jobs.

In addition to her parents, Annie is preceded in death by her daughter Theresa Ellis    Henderson and son Nelson Jordan.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, LaTonya Hill of Canton, Oh, Denise Harris of Columbus, OH, Cathy Hill Cole of Sandford, Florida; sons, Brian Hill Sr., Dennis (Tasha) Hill and Sam McDew; god-daughters, Shavonda Maske and Evelyn (Roger)   Spicer; (27) grandchildren; (42) great grandchildren; (3) great-great grandchildren; sisters, Paula Jones of Atlanta GA, Dorothy Harper of Massillon, Oh, Lois (Bill) Jones,  Beverly (Dudley) Hibbert, and Dorothy Singleton all of Canton, Ohio; brother, Lee Jordan of Canton, Ohio, as well as a host of other relatives and friends; special friend, Clifford Roberson and special granddaughter, Brittany Hill.
