Annie B. Hunt was born in Oxford, North Carolina on May 30, 1931, to Viola Carrington and Willie Edward Harris. She was a longtime resident of Akron since relocating from North Carolina in the late 60s.

Annie accepted Christ as an early age and rededicated her life to Christ before her passing. Annie was a staple in her community and was a full-time homemaker, who not only raised her children but was a mother to a village. Whomever needed a safe haven or even just a meal. Annie was not just beloved by her family but countless other families, friends, and anyone who was blessed with her presence. Annie will be missed by her memory will live through the countless people who love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, two brothers, daughter, son and grandson.

She leaves to honor and cherish her memory, her loving sister, Christine Chavis; her sons, Willie Edward Harris of North Carolina, Wilmo (Patty) Terry, John (Alicia) Hunt, Jr., Ronnie (Rhonda) Hunt of Akron, Ohio, and Jerome (Monica) Hunt of Cleveland; her daughters, Arlene (Ron) Hunt of Toledo, Ohio, Ella, Carla, Cathy and Rosa Hunt all of Akron, Ohio, and Shirly Harris of North Carolina; she also leaves 25 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 44 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
