Obituary

Annie Ruth Davis, affectionately called Annie D. or Mrs. Ann, made her earthly transition being called home to  our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.  Annie was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Katherine and Eddie Davis Sr.

Leaving the south at a young age, Annie resided in Waynesburg and Malvern, Ohio.  After moving into the city, Annie attended and graduated from McKinley Sr. High School.  Upon graduation, Annie went on to obtain lucrative employment with the   Timken Company, where she dedicated 37 years of faithful service.   She also worked for May Company and later on Kaufmann's, where she also worked for many years. Certainly this was the ideal occupation for Annie because of her "IN TOO DEEP" love for shopping.  Annie loved to fish, crochet and was an avid bowler.  Always down for a road trip.  Annie absolutely loved to travel.  If any luxury cruise was leaving the dock, she was certainly setting sail too.  She also loved to cook, and she was one of the best!  She had to cook all the food for the holidays because "couldn't nobody cook"  which is why we often ate late. Annie will truly be missed but the memories will last.

Rest In Grace Mommy!

In addition to her parents, Annie is preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Card;     brother, Johnnie Davis; her first and beloved grandson, Jae'Len McLaughlin, and sister, Elizabeth Townsley.

Annie leaves to cherish her memories to her (2) children, Kimberly Davis of Columbus, Ohio and Shaun Brown Sr. of Canton, Ohio; granddaughter, Jae'Nya Davis of Columbus, Ohio; grandsons, Kye'Juan Brown, LaNauz Brown , Shaun Brown Jr., and Ty'Mier Brown all of Canton, Ohio; special granddaughter, Shaun' Asia Brown of Canton, Ohio; brother, Eddie Davis Jr. of Canton, Ohio; sisters, Theresa (Lawrence) Hamilton of Canton, Ohio, Gloria (Jesse) Gavin of Columbus, Ohio, and Joyce Davis of Canton, Ohio; special niece and nephew Charise and Darrelyn Card both of Canton, Ohio; her long time friends, Jennie Johnson, Faye Stokes-Gardner, Donna Jones, Amelia Adams, and Darlene Range.
