Mrs. Annie L. Beauford was born on March 17, 1934, in Pinckard, Alabama to the late Earlie Henderson and Renia M. Hall. She went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Annie loved cooking for her family and friends, especially holiday meals. She also enjoyed shopping, and she had a green thumb that could grow anything.

She was employed at the Holiday Inn in Florida for 4 years and also at the Holiday Inn in Akron, where she retired from. Annie worked at the Hope Day Care Center/YMCA from February 15, 2002, until her retirement on December 31, 2019. She enjoyed working with the children and staff there. She was also a faithful member of The Light Church until her health failed her. Annie was a participant in the grandparent's program where she became a foster grandparent for many children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Beauford, Sr.; her son, Claude Beauford, Jr.; her daughters, Patricia and Yvette Beauford; her grandsons, Brandon McElrath and Cornell Beauford; her great grandsons, Imani Tolbert, Sr. and Judah and Joseph Williams; and her brother, James Doster.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn McElrath (Donald) of Akron, Terry Beauford of New York, and Billy and Theresa Beauford of Akron; siblings, Sylvia McElrath (Fred) of Akron and Frank Hall of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Vernell Beauford of New York; brother-in-law, Taft Beauford, Jr. of Alabama; 23 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
