Angelia M. Goodman, age 46, went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2013 at University Hospitals. She was born in Canton, Ohio on January 27, 1967 to Evelyn L. Gillespie and Benny Goodman.
Angelia accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Canton city schools and was a former employee of Cardinal Hometown Supermarket until her health failed. Angelia was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's "fanatic" and would always prepare a feast for her sons and family to watch the game.
Angelia was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, loyal friend and relative. She always had a kind word and beautiful warm smile for everyone; with great big laughter.
Angelia was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Percy V., Sr., and Josephine Gillespie; paternal grandmother, Mattie Johnson; brother, Manuel Gillespie; aunts, Julia E. Simmons, Sandra Degraffinreid; uncle, Carlos Walker; cousins, Brandon Gillespie and Travinna Simmons.
She leaves to cherish her memories, mother, Evelyn L. Gillespie; father, Benny Goodman; sons, Antonio M. (Heather) and Percy R. (Nicole); her precious angels, Arianna, K'Marie, Mariah and Lanazah Goodman; her siblings, Pierre Gillespie, Paulette Robinson, Anthony "Tony" Goodman, Jesse Strong, Jr., Zahiyyah (Ben) Smith and Sheila Smith; aunts and uncles: Percy V. , Jr. (Diane) Gillespie of Houston, TX, Ronald L., Sr., (Denise) Gillespie, Derrick (Minerva) Walker, Kim Walker, Chris Stevens, Annette Goodman, James Johnson, Richard Johnson; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
