Alfreda Denise Bady-Watts, 75, peacefully passed away on March 22, 2025, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born in Akron, Ohio, on July 4, 1949, she was the daughter of Alfred Johnson and Mollie C. Prentice. Alfreda was a proud Buchtel Griffin, but during her senior she transferred to Pittsburg where she graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1967.

Alfreda was also a proud member of the following Masonic Orders: Easter Star former member of Mary Chapter #47, OES PHA, and Past Illustrious Commandress of Al Kaf Court #144.

Alfreda also had a fulfilling career in social services, working at the welfare department, and later spent many years in banking with First Merit. She concluded her professional journey at Access Care where she provided support services for homeless women.

Alfreda cherished spending time with family and friends and had become one of the most beloved elders in her family, a role she took very seriously.

Alfreda is now reunited in heaven with her beloved family members who preceded her in death, including her parents, Alfred Johnson and Mollie (Percy) Bady; Uncles, Bryant Prentice, Frank Prentice, Granison Prentice, and Chaz Prentice; Aunts, Alice Beverett; her brother, James D. Lunda; and her sisters, Mary Stevens, Jacquelin L. Nared, and Cheryl L. (Anthony) Moore.

Alfreda leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on by her daughters, LaDonna and Laruel Paul. Alfreda also leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
