Alfred Jordan's Obituary

Mr. Alfred Jordan was born October 23 1929 to the union of the late William and Cora Jordan in Columbus Mississippi. Alfred went home to be the Lord on April 5th 2025

Alfred was a member of the US Army during the Korean War being honorably discharged in 1953 shortly after he moved to Akron to be near his brothers Willie and Arthur.

Alfred retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber company after 28 years of service and went back to work for the city of Akron where he worked for 5 more years as a sanitation worker.

He loved gardening along with eating and cooking collard greens. He had a heart for helping others and joking. He enjoyed all sports especially baseball. He loved his family deeply.

Alfred was proceeded in death by wives Sally and Ida Mae (McDonald) sons Alfred Jr, Robert Paul Sr, brothers Arthur, Willie, John Henry, Roosvelt, Sisters Mariah, Lela, Annie B, Daughter JoAnne and Nephew Cornelious Jordan

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons Curtis Petty, Andy (Faye), Kenneth (Ninetta), Duane (Lisa), and Maurice (Chris), Daughters Christine (Jack), and  Stella special granddaughter Yolanda, Sister Mary Frances along with many friends, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
