Aleia Palmer, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born on March 30, 1928 in Warwood, West Virginia. She was a member of St. John CME Church. She was also a member of the Democratic Club, Summit County Board of Elections for 55 years, NAACP, board member for Barberton Library, Missionary Society, Gospel Choir, longtime member of Allen Chapel AME, founder and travel coordinator for Barberton Mother's Club. She is preceded in death by her parents, Comer Burroughs and Clema Ricks; husband, Garfield Palmer; siblings, Dorothy Douglas, Ruby Vandiver, Rose Hightower, Kenneth, Richard, Alvin, and Robert Burroughs. She leaves to forever cherish her loving memory her son, Elwood (Teresa) Palmer; brother-in-law, Vernon Palmer; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
