Alberta Robinson,
With heavy Hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful transition of Alberta Robinson, who went home to be with the Lord on November 25,2024 at the age of 87. She was surrounded by the love of her family at her home in Akron, Ohio.
Born on August 15, 1937, in Somerville Alabama, Alberta was a 1958 graduate of Central High School in Akron. She retired from Akron City Hospital (Central Service), where her dedication and hard work left a lasting impact. Alberta Robinson was a devoted servant of God, a committed wife, loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and a cherished friend. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and lived faithfully, reflecting His love and grace in every aspect of her life. Her unwavering faith, compassionate heart, and resilient spirit were a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alberta Robinson was a faithful member of Sanctuary of Worship faith church where she served under the late Bishop Ronald L. Burgan Sr., the ministry's founder, and later under Pastor Ronald L Burgan Jr. Alberta's service to the church spanned many years, during which she humbly fulfilled her role as Senior Mother of the Church. Her love for the Lord was evident in her actions, as she shared words of encouragement, prayers and an open heart to all in need. Alberta leaves behind her loving children, Ricky (Jacqueline) Robinson, Diana (Desverni) McCary, Denise Burgan, Kimberly Robinson, Carla (Ronyale) Warner, Terry (Stephanie) Robinson, Garry (Cynthia) Robinson, Micheal (Dana) Robinson, Carlos (Vanielle) Robinson, Tonya Robinson, she was also the proud grandmother of a host of grandchildren and precious great-grandmother of many. Alberta will also be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who were touched by her gentle spirit and unwavering love.
Alberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband James D Robinson, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage, as well as her parents, Johnnie Mae and Henry Clay, Celestine Fuqua, Flora James, Douglas Clay, Illinois Allison, Maybeline Smith, Gertha Mae Clay, and Bobby Clay.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that Alberta is now in the presence of the Lord, free from pain and suffering, rejoicing with the angels in heaven. They rest in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, trusting in the joyous reunion awaiting them in God's glory.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the medical team and caregivers and SOW family Church, who offered their support during Alberta's final days.
We celebrate the extraordinary life of Alberta Robinson, knowing that her faith, love, and legacy will live on through all who were blessed by her presence.
