Alan Calhoun earned his heavenly wings and departed this life on Saturday, April 24, 2021.  He was born on January 22, 1951 to Scott and Annie Ruth Calhoun.

He was a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio where he attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from  Akron Buchtel High School in 1971.  He was last employed as a metal shop worker at Metalico Akron-Annaco, retiring in May 2017 after 29 years of service and returning in July of 2018 as a part-time employee.

Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Annie Green (Pearman); parents, Scott and Annie Ruth Calhoun; his son, Alan Junior Hill.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Elisabeth Price; brothers, Larry (Ethel) Green Sr. of Akron, Ohio and Alvin Calhoun of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Linda Calhoun of Akron, Ohio and Andrea Smith of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Alan Junior Hill II, Alente Jiemer Hill, Von'Tiera Thomas, James Price and Demont Price; uncle, Lucius (Sarah) Robinson; special lifetime friend, LaWanda Dyson and   a host of other family and friends.
