Aaron William
Wesley Webb
October 30, 1945 – February 23, 2025
Aaron William Wesley Webb was born October 30, 1945, in Canton, Ohio, to John Wesley Webb and Reverend Mary Smith Webb. He is the fifth of nine children. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Geno Womack; three brothers, Raymond Webb, Paul Webb, Joseph Johnson; and two sisters, Naomi Torrence and Arnethia Broy-Wright.
Aaron sang on the radio as a child, with his strong bass voice with his siblings (Sharon, Raymond and Paul), "Now let us sing unto the power of the Lord comes down"; and he played bass guitar in a band as well. He was a member of Bethel C.M.E. since he gave his life to Christ.
Aaron graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1964 and later enlisted into the United States Army as a mechanic. He played football while in the Army as well. Sergeant Webb was honorably discharged and began employment with Buckeye Steel (Columbus, Ohio), Republic Steel, Handy & Harmon Automotive as an Inspector/Supervisor for over twenty years, and the Hoover Company before his retirement.
Aaron prayed for a helpmate, and in 1986, God sent his angel, Mary L. Munford from Alabama. On June 30, 1990, he married Mary L. Webb, whom he affectionately called "Suggamama." He loved the Lord, reading scriptures and spending time with his family.
Aaron was a "Jack of All Trades" doing automotive repairs, installing drywall, glass block windows, painting, wallpaper and flooring. Aaron was always ready to host a family barbecue, fish fry or birthday party; you name it he was always willing and ready for a family gathering. He loved to play cards (Spades and Pinochle) for hours on end.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Mary L. Webb and son, Christopher Hayes. He leaves to mourn his memory, his brothers, Lt. Colonel J. Michael (Dr. Carla) Webb-Yates and Duane Guy Jr.; sister, Sharon Ferguson; and sisters-in-law, Molly Webb and Violet (Webb) Fowler; a host of great-grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Aaron's favorite Scripture:
"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me though he were dead, yet shall he live." John: 11:25
