WILLIE "CLYDE" LEWIS

Willie “Clyde” Lewis made his peaceful transition on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the age of 73 surrounded by his family. He was born on April 28, 1945 in Memphis Tennessee to his parents, Rosie Lee and John Henry Lewis Sr. He was employed at Advanced Poly Packaging. Clyde was a man who stood big and tall. He enjoyed the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Browns. Clyde was a family man, he love spending time with his family and friends and he also had a sweet tooth that was out of this world, especially for a good ole coconut cake.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Rosie Lee Lawrence and Phillip Lee Lawrence who raised him., Arthur Johnson Jr.; grandmother, Emma Lee Oliver “WaWa”; wife, Elizabeth“Cookie” Lewis; brothers, John Henry Lewis Jr. “Tokyo/Buddy" and Robert Lee Lewis “Pippy”; sister, Vivian Ann Jones; brother-in-law, John Turner; nephew, Garland “Pookie” Marshall.
Clyde leaves to forever cherish his loving memory and to carry on his legacy children, Terrance D. Lewis, Ant Juan L. Lewis, Kevin" Tanzy" Claridy, Ravion Simmons, Trevanna Prude, all of Akron, OH and Oscar Prude IV, of Chillicothe, OH; brothers, Alexander “Boobie” Jones of Akron, OH and Ocsar L. Lawrence of LaGrange, IL, Arthur Johnson Jr. "BB" of Akron, OH, William "Billie" Johnson of Columbus, OH and Tony Johnson of Virginia; sisters, Estelle “Marie” Brown of Winchester, TN, Barbara Lawrence of Chicago Ridge, IL, Rochelle Lawrence-Turner and Shawn Johnson both of Akron; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1153 Himelright Blvd. Akron, Ohio 44320.
