Valerie Pryor, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2017.  Valerie was a caregiver by nature.  She cared for many and she was a good listener and confidant. Valerie was a dedicated mother and grandmother.  She was a dedicated member of True Vine Ministries.  Valerie served on the Usher Board and participated in the Women’s Ministry.  Valerie was known to her church family as Sister V.  She was also a member of Ladies On The Move (L.O.T.M.).  In the words of her grandson, Kyan, “She was good...I love you MeMaw.”  Valerie was preceded in death by her mother Tessie Pryor, father, Samuel Williams; grandson, Kyre; brothers, Ronald Pryor and Sam Betts.  She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Marlyn Pryor and daughter, Tessica Pryor; grandchildren, Ramar Pryor and Kyan Pryor; brothers, Timothy (Hassie) Pryor, Johnny Terrell Pryor, and Eddie  Eugene “Hook’ Johnson all of Canton, Ohio; sisters, Rhonda Hughley of Columbus, Ohio, Robin Spencer of Canton, Ohio; god-daughter, Summer Pryor and god-son, Bobby Joe, Jr.; special friends, Sis. Nancy O’ Clay, Latricia McDowell, Victoria Davis, The Moore Family, Charlene Gourick, Mary Hailey, Paulette Robinson, Sharon Walker, Kitti Petties; special cousins, Anetta Jones “Cookie”, Jennifer Pryor “Nanny Girl, Cheryl Isles. Valerie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
