Sheron A. Thompson-Stokes, went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2019. She was born on September 14, 1955 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Nathaniel and Betty Thompson. Sheron graduated from McKinley High School. In the words of her eldest son, “She was strong, she was loving, she was caring, she was a provider for a family of five. She was a single woman with four children that she raised on her own while working at Republic Steel for 18 years. She was a “Hero” to her children. Sheron had such a genuine, kind, and calming spirit with a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Stacia “Stacy”, Shaft, Edwin, and Titus Stokes; grandchildren, Mariah Hackworth, Kianna Holcombe, Bransen Stokes, Kyson Stokes, and one on the way that will be her name sake; great-grandson, Hayden Freeman; (1) brother, Nathaniel Thompson, Jr.; sisters, Cleaster “Chi-Chi” Elizabeth Gonzalez (Jose), Deborah Ann Fowler (Ollie), Rose Marie Fowler (Jimie).
