Sandra Kaye (Davis) Hill, was born in Dover, Ohio, January 20, 1949. She was the fifth of six children born to the late Charles and Mattie L. Davis. Accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. Sandra was baptized at the First Baptist Church, Dover, Ohio under the pastorate of Rev.Laswell. She sang in the children’s choir, and continued to her journey of singing in the Dover High School Girl’s Chorus.
On July 23, 1966, Sandra united in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life, Arthur L. Hill. God blessed this union with seven children: Carla, baby boy, Carmen, baby boy, Lacreasha, Donesha, and baby boy Arthur Lee Hill, Jr. Sandra’s love and devotion to her husband and children were apparent to all who knew her. She provided this same tender care to her beloved father and mother, her brothers, sisters, grandchildren, step-children, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceded in death by: Brothers Cecil Davis, Charles Davis, and grandson, Thevenin Terrell.
Sandra loved her Pastor and lovely First Lady, Reverend Dr. Walter J. and Eileen Arrington. Oh, how she loved the choir and her other People’s Baptist Church family. She continued singing in the Mass Choir, Janitorial Services, and on the Kitchen Committee. Sandra was ever obedient in seeking direction for her life. She has accepted invitations to sing at other churches and functions.
She loved to host family gatherings, going to the casino, traveling, cooking, playing games, being a fill in with the Singing Wonders, singing solos with her husband, decorating her home, having dinner with her Alpha Enterprises Birthday Club, and attending the Davis and Hill Family Reunions.
On November 13, 2019, Sandra left this life to go Home in Glory. Left to lament her passing are: Her beloved husband, Arthur L. Hill, her precious children Carla (Abou) Ba, Carmen (Tito) Williams, Lacreasha (Kevin) Thomas, and Donesha Hill, Step-Children Regina Peterson, Eric Henry, and Kevin Montgomery, 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Bill “Duty” Davis, 2 sisters Delores (George) Davis, Jacqueline Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.
Sandra has fought the good fight, and she finished the race while keeping her faith. Finally, there is laid up for her the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord will give Sandra on that day. (2 Timothy 4:7)
