Robert Burnett passed away on August 4, 2019. He was born to Alberta and Henry Brooks May 4, 1934 in Montgomery, Alabama. At the age of 16 he moved to Canton, Ohio, where he worked at Canton Malleable for many years. He was one of the best mold makers in Canton. Robert retired from Franklin Brass. He was known by many as a drummer in many bands, a talent that started in his school band. He was the owner of Canton’s Finest Night Club (the Cotton Club), the House of Fashion and Canary Castle. Robert was also known as one of the “best dressed” men of Canton.
Meeting him as he starts his journey will be his parents, Henry, Sr. and Alberta Brooks; sister, Leola Jones; brother, Henry Brooks, Jr.; sons, Bobby Scott, Ivan Jerome “Jerry”, Stacy Ramon, Robert Keith, and Jed Carlo.
He leaves his wife, Anna Burnett; his children, Bonnie Russell, Greg Burnett, Shelly Ryals, and Bobby Moore; (32) grandchildren and (29) great-grandchildren all of Ohio, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will be here to cherish his memory.
