PAUL JETER Obituary

Paul Douglas Jeter, Sr., age 58, departed this life on May 22, 2019. He was born on March 27, 1961 to William Jeter, Sr. and Gertha Mae Lucas Jeter in Canton, Ohio. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; (2) sisters, Janet Lucas Coleman & Alberta Fletcher Waters, and his beloved son, Paul Jr. who died in a tragic house fire at a very young age. Paul accepted Christ at an early age while attending St. Paul Church of God in Christ in Massillon, Ohio. He attended Gibbs Elementary School, Crenshaw Jr. High School, and McKinley Senior High in the Canton City School system. After high school, Paul joined the United States Marine Corps where  after basic training and several demanding years of service he attained the rank of Sergeant and received an honorable discharge. Paul was very proud of his service to the United States of America. Paul last worked at Superior Dairy prior to departing this life. In his earlier years, Paul enjoyed playing basketball, football, baseball and any other competitive sports. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, video games, and gardening. He was a very good handyman working with plumbing, electrical work, hanging dry wall, painting and assembling things that needed to be put together. Paul loved family gatherings especially those where he could cut loose. He loved spending time entertaining young children and he could hold his own with adults when it came to talking smack. We will miss his beautiful smile and laughter.
