Mary Deloris Howard was called home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She was born on November 1, 1956 to Raleigh Sharp and Helen Rucker, who both preceded her in death.
Family and friends lovingly called her Dee Dee. Dee Dee graduated from Central-Hower High School and was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. She married her soulmate and life partner Willie Howard on July 31, 1981. In 1984 she started working at Little Tikes Rubber Company where she was employed for over 30 years until her retirement. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and friend. She instilled in her family and all those around her the importance of family and hard work. Mary loved her family and spent most of her free time supporting her grandchildren in their various activities. In addition to spending time with her family, Dee Dee enjoyed reading books, watching old black & white movies, westerns, and television shows, and drinking coffee.
Dee Dee leaves to mourn her dedicated husband Willie Joe Howard of 38 years. Her three devoted daughters Amy, Farrah, and Brandy. She also leaves to mourn 10 grandchildren, Brittney, Brandon, Jordan, Breaunna, Jaylan, William, Dreland, Dreaunna, Dremire, and Bailey and three great-grandchildren Cameron, Neveah, and Treaven. She will be missed greatly by her canine baby, Doug; cousin/brother, McKoy Kendrick; and cousin/sister, Vanessa Jackson.
