On November 18, 2017 J.D. Peterson made his transition from this earthly home to his heavenly home at the age of 83. He was born on October 25, 1934 to his parents Sam Robinson and Jewel Edwards in Luverne, Alabama. He was employed as a truck driver for Luntz Corporation for many years until his retirement. J.D was a member of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, and he was an avid Pittsburg Steeler’s Fan and loved people. J.D. Never met a stranger. J.D “loved life”.

J.D. was preceded in death by his parents Jewel Edwards and Sam Robinson, daughter Diane Roberson, son James Peterson, and the recent death of he brother S.C Peterson of Detroit, Michigan, who passed away November 18, 2017 as well.

J.D. Peterson leaves to forever cherish his loving memory, his wife Susie   Peterson of 64 years of marriage, son Sam (Keisha) Peterson of Canton, daughters Debra (Charles) Frazier of Canton, LeeAnn Bryant of Canton, Patricia (Andrew) Smith of Canton, Tammy Peterson of South Carolina, Ruthie (Leon) Campbell of Canton, Robin (Tom) Peterson of Canton, Denise (Oscar) Skinner of Canton, Vanessa    Peterson of Canton, Son in Law Robert L. Roberson of Canton, sister Vera Butler of Detroit Michigan and Sister in Law Beatrice (SC) Peterson of Detroit Michigan, Sister in Law Mamie (Ted) Denning of Detroit Michigan, Sister in Law Bertha (Glen) Peterson of Detroit Michigan; and a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
