IDA RUTH (EVANS) KNOX

Ms. Ida Ruth (Evans) Knox, a long-time resident of Akron, Ohio, departed her mortal body and was called home on December 1 at Copley Medical Health Center, to immortality and paradise with a welcoming and loving Homecoming!   To everything there is a season, a time for every matter under heaven, a time to be born and a time to die.  A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.  Our hearts are relentlessly filled with pain but no regrets! She was born in Summerville, GA.  Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lee Evans (father) and (Mother), Zula R. (Sturdivant) Evans, both deceased.  During this beautiful and outstanding connubiality of her parents’ loving and spiritually blessed marriage, Ms. Ida R. Knox had 4 brothers, and 1 sister.  Brothers and wives, Mr. Willie Evans Jr, (Pauline, deceased) Mr. Louie Evans (he and wife, Lola Evans are deceased) Mr. Roy Evans (wife, Barbara) Mr. Harold Evans (deceased) (Wife, Peggy) and baby sister Ms. Wanda L. Evans, (husband, Joe, deceased). She sadly leaves behind 3 sons and 1 daughter.  Sons, Officer Wilburn G. Knox, Akron, Ohio,  Dr. Franklin C. Knox, Bowie, MD, Daughter, Michelle Allen, Real Estate Broker, Cleveland, Ohio,  Son, Mr. Walter G. Knox, Machinist and College Student, Akron, Ohio.  She also leaves a whole host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members and select friends that were truly dear to her heart. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306.
