HUNDLEAN MASKE Obituary

MASKE, HUNDLEAN T - went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2019. She was born May 29, 1946 and raised in Canton, Ohio a devoted member  of Union Baptist Church, serving on the Usher Board and as an Usher  trainer, she also served on the kitchen ministry.

 

She retired from the Ohio Youth Commission, after 30 years of service, where she was a strong advocate for the youth, she held several important positions, the most satisfying was her advocacy for the youth. After retirement she was employed at, Coming Together Stark County.

 

As part of her community advocacy for the betterment of Canton she was the co-director of Black Flower Production, member of the Stark County Business League, as well as the Stark County Black Caucus, and an active Board Member of The Stark County Urban League. In addition to her community service she was an entrepreneur and co-owner of Nefertiti’s Nuptials. She taught an adequacy school for young ladies, and always was an insurance agent for Primerica.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Hundley & Rachel J Tibbs; brother Frank Hale (Canton, Ohio); sister, Martha Carter (Buffalo New York). She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Nicole R. Maske (Canton, Ohio); son Jason S. Maske (Canton, Ohio); sister, Barbara J. Tibbs (Canton, Ohio); sister, Norma J. Mills (Columbus, Ohio); brother, Arthur V. Tibbs.(Canton, Ohio); ex-husband and friend, John (Tootie ) Maske.(Canton, Ohio); (5) grandchildren, Makaela Maske, Eric Street, Ryan Maske, Diamond Street, Sierra Maske; (14) great grandchildren (all from Canton, Ohio); only surviving aunt and uncle Manzie and (Ruth) Johnson (Canton, Ohio). A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Hundlean loved her family unconditionally.
