Georgia Moody opened the door to Heaven July 16, 2018, and was welcomed with open arms. Georgia was born June 16, 1931 in Marshville, Georgia to Pinkie Mae and John Henry Potter. Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Fritz Moody Sr.; her daughters, Betty Ellis, Ernesteen Oglesby, and her son Jerry Potter; (4) brothers, Oscar Oglesby “Uncle Fox”, Harvey Oglesby “Uncle Hobb”, Andrew Oglesby “Uncle Connie”, and Fred Oglesby “Uncle Fred” Georgia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Esther “Bonnie” Moody, Fritz Moody, Jr. ans Craig Moody. She has 12 grandchildren and 20 plus great grandchildren. Georgia started out as a housewife for many years, as her children got older, she worked as a housekeeper at Aultman Hospital. She served as a Deaconess at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was also a choir leader and a custodian. She was also employed with the Canton City Schools system as a cafeteria worker. Georgia loved going to bible study and church on Sundays. She loved Jesus and she loved her family and it truly showed. Georgia Mae was a great cook, always ready to make you a plate. She loved shopping and eating. She went through life without a care in the world, she was always smiling and giving hugs. She will be deeply missed.
