Carole Ann Bess-Bronson left this earth too soon on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Our sweet Carole was born to Regina and the late Carl Bess in Canton, Ohio on June 25, 1948. She was a devoted wife to LeBron Bronson and a loving mother to their children, Marcus of Chicago, Ryan of Canton and Alfreda of Detroit. She also had two grandsons, BryShawn and David. Carole was the sassy older sister to Marguerite (Rita) Young of San Francisco and Lydia Lee of Canton, they adored their big sister. She was also very close to her niece Sommer Clayborne; nephews, Terry “TJ”, Korry and Karl Lee; brothers-in-law, Terry Lee, Sr. and Victor Young; best friend, Darlean Strickland. Carole attended Allen Grade School and graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1966, where she was one of first 5 African-Americans to be accepted into the secretarial program. Carole was honored as a top Timken student. Always carrying herself in a professional manner, she also became the first African-American receptionist at Diebold, working her way up to purchasing agent. She was in charge of purchasing all office and custodial services and supplies for Diebold, retiring after 43 years with much respect from her coworkers. Carole loved being with her family, gardening, making pound cakes and playing the slot machines in Atlantic City and Vegas. She was a former member of Deliverance Christian Church and attended Life Ministries International Church until her home going. She loved the word of God and God gave her strength and carried her through the years. Her favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
