Bennie Floyd Goodman was born January 2, 1948, in Canton, Ohio to the late Oits and Mattie Goodman. Bennie went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019 at the age of 71.
Bennie was a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, who coached people through their recovery and sobriety, in which he sewed many seeds of brother and sisterhood. Bennie retired from Hoover, but before then he worked part-time at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Fitness Center, Heinz, and Superior Dairy.
Preceded in death by Eugene and Mattie Lou Harris, James and Mattie Johnson and daughter Angelia Goodman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory; former wife, Carla Mack and their children; Jarvis Mack, Charla Mack, daughter and son, Sheila Smith and Tony Goodman. He leaves (4) grandsons, (3) granddaughters, and (1) great grandson; his siblings, Christine (Michael) Stevens of Canton, Annette Goodman of Akron, James A. (Sherry) Johnson of California, and Richard (Rachel) Johnson of California; favorite niece and caretaker, Diamond Jordan; (11) great nephews and (9) great nieces, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
