Anthony Allen known to family and friends as “Puff”, passed away on August 1, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic while battling a life long illness. Anthony was born February 10, 1984, in Canton, Ohio, to Anthony Allen, Sr. and Francine Cherry.  Anthony was preceded in death by his loving sister   Adowana L. Cherry, his maternal grandmother Daisy Cherry, maternal grandfather George Washington Cherry, paternal grandfather David Allen, and Uncle Clarence “Top Cat” Holcombe.


Anthony graduated from McKinley Sr. High School in 2002.  On July 27, 2013 Anthony married the love of his life Markisha Allen.  Anybody who knew Anthony knew that he adored his wife.  Shortly after they got married they moved to Phoenix, Arizona where Anthony worked for Streets of New York Pizza.  In November of 2016 Anthony and his devoted wife moved back to Canton due to his illness. He was such a strong willed man that he never complained about his illness. In his youth he enjoyed playing baseball and midget league football (49ers).  Although it was sometimes difficult, Anthony never allowed his illness to stop him from living a full life. He was strong and fought the good fight!  He will be deeply missed.


Anthony will be lovingly remembered and cherished by his wife of 5 years, Markisha Allen ;son, Anthony JayShawn Allen; nephew, who he helped raise and treated like a son, Marquis Dominique Garner, Jr. “STANK” ;mother, Francine Cherry; father, Anthony Allen, Sr.; brothers, Kenneth Cherry, Justen Kris Cherry, and Darrel Cortez Allen all of Canton OH; sister,       Antonia Allen of Phoenix, Arizona; grandmother, Rosa Holcombe; aunt, Adimu Holcombe both of Canton, OH, aunt Davian (Michael) Torrence,  of Columbus, OH, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
