On Thursday, April 4, 2024, Sarah Lee Green-Bell made her peaceful transition from labor to reward at the age of 83. She was born December 4, 1940, in Sycamore, Alabama to her parents the late Levie Thomas and Mary Lee Green-Griffin. Sarah accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Mountain Home Baptist Church in Sycamore, Alabama and a lifetime member of Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio.
Sarah was previously employed at Mature Services, Malley’s Chocolate Candy Store and retired from D&K Discount Stores. Her infectious smile and humble spirit gained her numerus friendships that she maintained for over 50 years.
Sarah never met a stranger; she exemplified her love for people as Christ loves us. Talking on the phone, cooking fish for her grandchildren and loving her family and friends was the highlight of her days.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Bell Sr; and her daughter, Della Michelle Green.
She leaves to forever cherish her loving memory and to carry on her legacy, sons, Derrick L. (Keisha) Bell, Demetrius L. Bell (Nykky) and Paul Bell Jr.; daughters, Paulette Richardson and Pam Ashe; brother, Willie T. (Cora) Green of Talladega, Alabama; five grandchildren, Jesekah, Jourdyn, Keonta, Jalen Bell and Cashmere Roberts; three great grandchildren; Phoenix, Avalynn and Hendrix; sister/friend, Marilyn (George) King; cousin, Juanita Cummings; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.
