Shirley Ann (Kelly) Edwards was born in Akron, Ohio on March 8, 1934, to Parents Leonard and Estelle Kelly, went home to be with the Lord on November 12th 2017.
Shirley was a lifetime resident of Akron, accepting the Lord at a young age, becoming a loyal member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Here she offered her knowledge on the Nurses’ Guild during her 48 year tenure.  She was a proud graduate of North High School and Cuyahoga Falls School of Nursing. Shirley made a positive influence anywhere she worked; Cuyahoga Falls General, St. Thomas Hospital, Western Reserve, North-coast Behavioral Healthcare, just to name a few.
Shirley made a lasting impact in every the lives she was a part of. Her infectious attitude to give, her wiliness to show excellence and compassion, speak volumes to how the Lord has impacted her life. She loved to bowl, play cards, attending special events, and the Lord. She has traded her ninety-nine hats for her crown in heaven.
 Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Murray Edwards; son and her eight siblings. Shirley is survived by daughters, Angela (Norman) Davis and Antoinette Edwards; step-daughters, Linda (David) Campbell, Starlette Beamon; step-son, Tommy Cammon; sister in law, Tomisina Kelly; grandchildren, David, Cedric and Michael Campbell, Ian Boykin, Anthony and Dannielle Davis, Asia Watson and Shakeez Davis; Many great-grandchildren; special niece Pamela Bonner; special son, John Thomas; special friend, Fred Varner and a host of other family and friends.
