Shirley Ann Davis known as "Goldie" and "Nanaw" was born June 8, 1940 in Akron, Ohio. She was married to the late Dwright Davis from this union 2 children were born. She accepted the Lord and was saved. While attending "Christ Is The Answer Church" she was the oldest mother of the church on the north side campus
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Dwright Davis; mother, Cora Clark; daughter, Voncile Brown; great granddaughter, Kaylana Williams; brothers, Melvin and Wallace Clark; step-father, Ozell Clark.
 
Shirley leaves to cherish her loving memory son, David D. Davis; daughters, renda (Willie) Smith, Sarnetta Clark, Bernice Gillespie, Tira Davis, and Wanda Dyso; sisters, Gloria Busby "Jean", Ozella (Floyd) Frye and Yolanda (Joe) Thorpe; brothers, Sidney and Thurman Clark, Talib (Mercedita) Fardin; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Home Going celebration will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor J. Michael Martin Sr., eulogizing and Elder Floyd Frye, officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 491 Vernon Odom Blvd Akron, Ohio 44307.
