On Tuesday, October 4, 2016, Henry E. Jackson transitioned to his heavenly resting place.  Henry, age 67, was born November 12, 1948 to the late Carrie E. and Lloyd Jackson, Sr. He was the youngest of 16 children. Henry was born and raised in Clayton, Alabama. He was educated at the Barbour County Training School, where he found a passion in running track.  After graduating high school he moved to New York for a short time, later moving to Canton, Ohio in 1968. Henry met his faithful and dedicated wife in the early seventies, and the two became one in 1978. Henry was consistent in being a strong provider for his wife and sons. Henry was employed and retired from Boyle Midway in 1985. He loved to have a good time with his family and friends. Henry was known for taking long trips in his RV. In his spare time he literally was knocking down spares, being part of a bowling league. Other times he enjoyed the thrill of riding his Harley with fellow riders of the Blue Knights. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife Marvella Jackson of 37 years; daughter, Dorothy Chastin; brothers, Lloyd Jackson, Jr. Joe L. Jackson, Major Jackson; sisters, Dorothy Jackson-Bass and Alean Jackson. Henry leaves to cherish his memory (3) sons, Eric (Stacy) Kelly, Brian Hughes of Canton, Ohio, Henry (Jerrisha) Jackson of Massillon, Ohio; (1) brother, James (LeeNora) Smith of Canton, Ohio; (2) sisters, Ollie Pearson of Utica, New York, Ida Williams of Canton, Ohio as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
