The Lord assures us that when we become absent from this body, instantly we are present with Him.  Mrs. Bertha Nash (affectionately known as Bit by family and friends) 79, departed this life to be with Jesus on October 27, 2017  surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. She was born March 1, 1938 to Jimmy (Sud) and Bertha Ethel McPherson in Ada, Alabama.

Bertha accepted Christ at an early age in Ada, Alabama and relocated to Massillon, OH to begin her journey of life as a young adult.  She married Milton Nash III; together they raised seven children. Bertha was a devoted and loving mother and was very proud of all of her children. Bertha loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was a blessing to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing large Sunday dinners for her family.

She was a stay at home mom giving her children everything they desired.  Once her children were older she accepted a position at The Hoover Company and  later retired from Crown Cork and Seal. After retirement she enjoyed her children and watching her grandchildren grow. In her pastime she loved going to the casino playing the slots, she loved fixing herself up and making herself look pretty.  If you knew Bertha you knew that she loved a good conversation with whoever had the time to talk and listen.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Bertha McPherson;  beloved son Milton (Maurice) Nash; 1 brother Jimmy McPherson Jr.: 4 sisters  Ann Dixon, Ethel Hooten, Mary Belser, and Florence Brown; great granddaughter Deondria Lynn Nash.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her children Betty Jo Nash of Massillon, OH, Eydie Nash of Canton, OH, Anthony (Jean) Nash of Akron, OH, Todd (Deneachera) Nash of Canton, OH, Rodney aka Poopey Nash of Canton, OH, and Kila Bethenia Nash of Akron, OH; 1 Brother Leander McPherson; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grand kids and host of other family and special friends.
