Addie R. (Martin) Allen BarrinoJordan
Addie was born in Clio, Alabama on April 2, 1931 to Alma and Fred Martin. She attended St. Peters A.M.E. Church in Clio, Alabama, which her grandfather Anthony Martin donated the land for the building of the church. She was educated in the state of Alabama and Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brother Clarence McBride. 
In 1954 she relocated to Canton, Ohio and became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She joined the choir and she became a deaconess, a member of the Mission Board, and one of the outstanding church cooks. Addie also chaired various organizations: The Gold Workers for Christ, Mission Board, Women’s Day, and was one of the founding members of Macedonia Annual Home Coming Celebration. She sang and recorded a gospel album with the Alpha & Omega gospel group. Addie was an original member of the Macedonia Baptist Church Gospel Chorus, and also sang in the Mass Choir. She had an eye for fashion and organized fashion shows and shopping sprees. 
Addie relocated to Sacramento, California in 1988 and joined The Hill Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joe Akens. There she continued serving the Lord as a deaconess in various ministries. Addie and her late husband James retired and relocated to Canton, Ohio in 2007. 
She was the loving mother of (5) children; Lillian Akens of Los Angeles, California, Dewey Gillespie of Canton, Ohio, Mary (Timothy) Upshaw of San Jose, California from the marriage of Dewey Allen and Stephon Barrino (deceased), Tracy (Terry) Stewart of Lawrenceville, Georgia from the marriage of    Nathaniel Barrino. Addie also assisted in the upbringing of  Lueticher Phillips who was like a daughter to her, raising her in their home for several years as her own; grandchildren, Todd Barrino (deceased), Marlon (Katherine) Barrino, Sanford (Sharon) Barrino, Stephanie Groce, Celeste Barrino, Damon (Jeannie) Gillespie, Tila Barrino, Stephon Cook, Chevon Barrino (deceased), Sydney Bynum and Nathaniel Stewart; great-grandchildren, Kamari Barrino, Katelynn Barrino, Olivia Robertson, Bailey Barrino, Mikayla Gillespie, Arrianna Gillespie, Camille Howard, Isaiah Gillespie, Brianna Kelley,  Favor Cook; great-great grandchild, Karter Barrino.
